US 285 northbound and southbound at mile marker 35
Description: The NMDOT is doing bridge deck rehabilitation work on the Dark Canyon Bridge on US 285 at MP 35 in Carlsbad. Work will consist of milling and grinding the existing bridge deck and placement of a new concrete overlay on the decks. One half of the bridge will be closed with traffic routed on one lane in each direction of the other half of the bridge with a 25 mph speed limit on the bridges from 7:00 am until 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Work is expected to be complete in August 2014. Motorists are advised to obey the advance construction signing and the posted speed limits. Interstate 25 northbound, 0.9 miles West of COCHITI/NM 16 exit at mile marker 264
Description: Santa Fe–The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will begin bridge rehabilitation work on I-25, mile maker 263 at Santo Domingo (bottom of La Bajada Hill) south of Santa Fe on July 18, 2014. Traffic Impacts: Starting Friday, July 18 at 7:00 p.m., the I-25 northbound lanes will be reduced to one lane. The reduced lanes will be in effect until 5:00 a.m. Sunday, July 20. Motorists can expect minor delays. The bridge rehabilitation work is scheduled over the next several weekends. -This bridge rehabilitation project is anticipated to be completed by August 17, weather permitting. Drivers are urged to proceed through the work zone with caution, observe traffic control signs and obey speed limits. Interstate 25 northbound and southbound from 1.2 miles West of CANONCITO exit at mile marker 293 to 0.1 miles West of CANONCITO exit at mile marker 294
Description: Santa Fe – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) began bridge replacement work on I-25 north of Santa Fe at Canoncito between mile markers 293 and 294 on April 7, 2014. The scope of the project includes bridge rehabilitation, roadway and ramp reconstruction, and pavement rehabilitation for 1.42 miles within Santa Fe County. Tom Griego is the NMDOT Project Engineer. AUI is the contractor for this project. Traffic Impacts: Starting May 21, the cross road under I-25 (Sleeping Dog Road) will be CLOSED. Local traffic and residents on the south side of I-25 will be detoured to the Valencia Exit 297 to access I-25 South. Local traffic and residents on the north side of I-25 (Old Las Vegas Highway) will be detoured to the Lamy Exit 290 to access I-25 northbound and southbound. The Sleeping Dog Road closure will be in effect until November 2014. -I-25 southbound traffic will be switched over to the northbound lanes. The northbound and southbound lanes will be reduced to one lane through the work zone. The lane closures will be in effect through June, 2014. -Motorists can expect minor delays. The posted speed limit is 55 mph through the work zone. There is a 12 foot width restriction in effect. NMDOT urges motorists to proceed through the work zone with caution, watch for construction personnel, observe traffic control signing and reduced speed to the posted speed limit.

US 64, 14.5 miles South of Dulce at mile marker 124, -lane- lane closed.
Description: Dulce - Jct of US64 & NM537 - This project is 11 miles south of Dulce. Federal Highways Administration is building a new by-pass road between US 64 and NM 537. There will also be Intersection improvement work the Intersection of US64 & NM 537. This project is anticipated to be completed by August 2014. On July 7, 2014, motorists can expect shoulder work, trucks turning and median work. In addition NM 537 will temprarily becombe a dirt/aggregate roadway. NM 527 is expected to be paved within 6-8 days. Traffic Impacts: Motorists can expect minor delays Monday through Friday. Traffic has been shifted to the shoulder. Traffic is traveling in one lane with a flagger operation. Drivers are urged to reduce speed, watch for construction personnel and observe temporary construction signing.

Interstate 40 eastbound and westbound from mile marker 197 to mile marker 209
Description: Moriarty - Moriarty - NMDOT continues construction on the Moriarty West Interchange (Exit 194) and on the I-40 roadway improvement. The interchange work will consist of removing the old concrete and replacing it with new concrete. The Moriarty West Interchange work is anticipated to be completed by end of August 2014, weather permitting. The I-40 roadway rehabilitation work will consist of removing the top 3.5 inches of pavement and replacing it back through a mill and inlay process. -The roadway rehabilitation work will be located on the I-40 east and west bound lanes from mile marker 197 to mile marker 209.4 just east of Moriarty. Traffic Impacts: As of Friday May, 16 the I-40 Moriarty East Bound Exit 194 off-ramp has been RE-OPENED. -Starting Sunday, May 18 the I-40 Moriarty Westbound Exit 194 off-ramp will be CLOSED. The closure will remain in effect for 45 days and is scheduled to be RE-OPENED on July 1. Motorists can use the I-40 on ramp two miles east at (Exit 197) -The roadway rehabilitation work will include intermittent lane closures on I-40 east and west bound lanes Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The speed limit has been reduced to 55 mph through the work zone. NMDOT Project Engineer is Habib Abi-Khalil. Contactor is Mountain States Constructors, Inc. NMDOT urges motorists to proceed through the work zone with caution, watch for construction personnel, observe traffic control signing, and reduced speed to the posted speed limit.

Interstate 25 northbound and southbound at San Antonio at mile marker 139
Description: The NMDOT with Villalobs Construction have completed the bridge rehabilitation work at Luis Lopez Bridge in Socorro, and will soon make their transition to two (2) separate bridges that cross over I-25. Motorists will encounter lane rstrictions and reduction in speed on I-10. The next bridge will be the San Marcial/exit 125 Bridge (Socorro County) with I-25/exit 79 in T or C (Sierra County) to be completed. The work at each bridge is scheduled to take approximately 2 months. The bridges will be CLOSED in segments as work is being conducted. Detours will be posted as work progresses from one to bridge to another. The contractor has constructed crossovers on I-25 where traffic will be switched over in order for work to be conducted on the bridge overpass. Motorists will be advised of lane and speed restrictions. Please proceed with caution

New Mexico 41 from 1.6 miles South of Galisteo at mile marker 55 to 0.5 miles South of Galisteo at mile marker 56
Description: The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) construction work on NM 41 near the Village of Galisteo between mile post 55.53 and mile post 56.1 on April 21, 2014. This work will include the replacement of two bridges and roadway improvements between the two bridges. The bridge work will be located at the San Cristobal Arroyo Bridge south of the Village of Galisteo and the Galisteo Creek Bridge on the southern edge of the Village of Galisteo. Traffic Impacts: Motorists can expect minor delays. During the daylight hours, the northbound and southbound traffic will travel through one lane with a pilot car operation and temporary signal setup. During the night, there will be a temporary signal set up on the north end and south end of the work zone. -NO oversize vehicles or commercial loads are allowed through the work zone, and NO oversize loads allowed between Stanley and South of County Road 42. There is a 10’ width restriction. -Motorists traveling south on NM 41 can use U.S. 285 south to Clines Corners to I-40. Motorists traveling north on NM 41 can use I-40 east to Clines Corners to U.S. 285 north. The detours are equivalent to approximately 21 miles. Drivers are urged to proceed through the work zone with caution, observe traffic control signs and obey speed limits.

Description: The NMDOT with Smith and Aguirre Construction have placed traffic control at the I-25/US 70 Interchange to Rinconada (exit 152). The contractor is removing median in order to place a concrete wall barrier structure. The contractor will be working within the inner lane as motorists will continue to have 2 lanes of open traffic for both directions. The project working hours will be Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. until completion of September of 2014.

New Mexico 574 at Aztec at mile marker 14
Description: Aztec – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) resumes roadway construction work at the intersection of NM 516 and NM 574 (Light Plant Rd.) in Aztec. The project was in suspension during the 2013/2014 school year and has resumed back to work for summer. The project includes roadway reconstruction for 0.75 miles, drop inlets, storm drain inlet structures, manholes, curb and gutter, new sidewalks with new lighting. AUI Inc., of Albuquerque is the contractor for this project. Herman Patterson is the NMDOT project manager out of the Bloomfield Office. Traffic Impacts: There will be intermittent lane closures at the intersection of NM 516 and NM 574. Motorists will be traveling in one lane in each direction. The lane closures will be in effect through July 2014. There is a 12’ width restriction. Drivers are urged to proceed through the work zone with caution, observe traffic control signing and obey posted speed limits.

Description: Santa Fe–The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will begin bridge rehabilitation work on U.S. 285 near Lamy just North of NM 41 at mile post 284.1 on July 14, 2014. Traffic Impacts: Starting Monday, July 14 at 7:00 a.m., the U.S. 285 northbound and southbound lanes will be reduced to one lane. Motorists can expect minor delays. During the daylight hours, the northbound and southbound traffic will travel through one lane with a flagger and pilot car operation. During the night, there will be a temporary signal set up on the north and south end of the work zone. There is a 17’ width restriction. US 64 from 5.1 miles West of Bloomfield at mile marker 60 to 2.3 miles West of Bloomfield at mile marker 62
Description: There is roadway reconstruction of US 64 for two miles outside the City limits of Bloomfield. Work will be from mile post 60-62. The project will widen US 64 from four to six lanes. Medians will be installed along US 64 for access control. A major storm drain system will be installed. The contractor is Mountain States Constructors, Inc. Project is scheduled to be completed in the winter of 2014. TRAFFIC IMPACTS: The eastbound and westbound traffic are traveling on the newly built westbound lanes and are reduced to one lane with internal turning lanes. Both east and westbound traffic on US 64 is reduced to one and traveling on the westbound side with a continous center turning lane from mile posts 62 to 60. All traffic has access to intersecting streets and turnouts. US 64 EBL are closed from mile posts 62 to 60. Eastbound traffic is merged back into the WBL after mile psot 60.

Description: Blanco–The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will begin pavement preservation work on U.S. 64 from mile post 81.8 to mile post 87.8 Thursday, June 26, 2014. This pavement preservation work is a heater scarification process located approximately seven miles east of the Blanco. Traffic Impacts: Motorists can expect minor delays Monday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. There will be one lane closures with a flagger and pilot car operation though the work zone. There is a 12' width restriction. The detour is as follows: Motorists traveling westbound on US 64 from Dulce can turn north on NM 539 towards Navajo Dam, turn West on NM 511 thru Truley to US 64 and turn west on US 64 towards Blanco/Bloomfield. Motorist traveling eastbound on US 64 from Bloomfield can turn North on NM 511, through Turley, towards Navajo Dam and turn south on NM 539 to US 64 and turn east on US 64 towards Dulce. The pavement preservation project is scheduled for completion mid -July of 2014. Cutler Repaving Inc. of Albuquerque is the contractor for this project. Drivers are urged to proceed through the work zone with caution, watch for construction personnel, observe traffic control signs and reduce speed to the posted limit.

Description: The District One office for the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) with La Calerita Construction continues with bridge work at Avenida de Mesilla. East and westbound traffic has been switched to the eastbound lanes. Traffic restrictions will remain. The I10 Avenida de Mesilla on ramp is CLOSED. All remaining ramps are open.Motorists will encounter lane restrictions on NM-28/Avenida de Mesilla between Hickory Loop and Lakeside Drive, and on I-10 between Motel Boulevard and University Avenue. Traffic alerts are posted throughout the work zone advising motorists of detours as outlined in the contractors’ schedule. Motorists will be able to gain access to the City of Las Cruces and the Town of Mesilla at Motel Boulevard exit 139, or University Avenue exit 142 for both east and westbound I-10 traffic.
