Description: NMDOT will begin roadway rehabilitation on Tuesday, April 15, 2015 on NM 229 from the Junction of US 82 east of Artesia. US 64 eastbound and westbound from 2.2 miles West of Bloomfield at mile marker 62 to 0.2 miles West of Bloomfield at mile marker 64
Description: Roadway reconstruction of US 64 for two miles within the City of Bloomfield. Work will be from mile post 62-64. The project will widen US 64 from four to six lanes. Medians will be installed along US 64 for access control, a major storm drain system will be installed. Contractor is Sterling Brothers. NMDOT Project Manager is Herman Patterson. Project anticipated to be completed by summer of 2014. TRAFFIC IMPACTS: The contractor has begun concrete replacement at the US 64/ NM 550 Intersection. Beginning from 3rd St to 6th St westbound traffic will be reduced to one through & right turning lane, and one continuous left turning lane. Eastbound traffic will have two through lanes, one continuous left turning lane, and one continuous right turning lane. North bound traffic on NM 550 will be reduced to one continuous left turning lane, one through lane, and one continuous right turning lane. No changes on NM 550 South. All traffic has access to 5th St, and other subsequent streets. • There is a 12 foot wide load restriction and a 17 foot height restriction is being enforced

US 285 northbound and southbound at mile marker 45
Description: The NMDOT is doing bridge deck rehabilitation work on the Rocky Arroyo Bridge on US 285 at MP 45 north of Carlsbad. Work will consist of milling and grinding the existing bridge deck and placement of a new concrete overlay on the decks. There will be a temporary one-lane closure with a 25 mph speed limit on the bridges from 7:00 am until 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Work is expected to be complete in June 2014. Motorists are advised to obey the advance construction signing and the posted speed limits. Interstate 25 northbound and southbound from 1.2 miles West of CANONCITO exit at mile marker 293 to 0.1 miles West of CANONCITO exit at mile marker 294
Description: Santa Fe – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) began bridge replacement work on I-25 north of Santa Fe at Canoncito between mile markers 293 and 294 on April 7, 2014. The scope of the project includes bridge rehabilitation, roadway and ramp reconstruction, and pavement rehabilitation for 1.42 miles within Santa Fe County. Tom Griego is the NMDOT Project Engineer. AUI is the contractor for this project. Traffic Impacts: There is a left lane closure on the northbound and southbound lanes of I-25. Temporary wall barrier has been set on the northbound and southbound lanes of I-25, leaving one lane open through the work zone. The lane closures will be in effect until November 2014. Motorists can expect minor delays. The posted speed limit is 55 mph through the work zone. There is a 12 foot width restriction in effect. NMDOT urges motorists to proceed through the work zone with caution, watch for construction personnel, observe traffic control signing and reduced speed to the posted speed limit

Interstate 40 eastbound and westbound from mile marker 197 to mile marker 209
Description: Moriarty - Moriarty - NMDOT continues construction on the Moriarty West Interchange (Exit 194) and on the I-40 roadway improvement. The interchange work will consist of removing the old concrete and replacing it with new concrete. The Moriarty West Interchange work is anticipated to be completed by end of August 2014, weather permitting. Starting April 16, the Moriarty West Interchange eastbound traffic will be shifted to the north side of Main Street. The Moriarty westbound ramp will be closed at 10:00 p.m. and re-opened at 6:00 a.m. the following day on April 17. The eastbound ramp will be closed at 10:00 p.m. on April 17 and re-opened on Friday April 18. Motorists can use the I-40 on ramp two miles east at (Exit 197). . The interchange work will consist of removing the old concrete and replacing it with new concrete. The I-40 roadway rehabilitation work will consist of removing the top 3.5 inches of pavement and replacing it back through a mill and inlay process. -The roadway rehabilitation work will be located on the I-40 east and west bound lanes from mile marker 197 to mile marker 209.4 just east of Moriarty. The roadway work is anticipated to be completed by end of April 2014, weather permitting. -The Moriarty West Interchange work is anticipated to be completed by end of August 2014, weather permitting. Traffic Impacts: -The roadway rehabilitation work will include intermittent lane closures on I-40 east and west bound lanes Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The speed limit has been reduced to 55 mph through the work zone. NMDOT Project Engineer is Habib Abi-Khalil. Contactor is Mountain States Constructors, Inc. NMDOT urges motorists to proceed through the work zone with caution, watch for construction personnel, observe traffic control signing, and reduced speed to the posted speed limit.

Interstate 25 northbound and southbound at San Antonio at mile marker 139
Description: The NMDOT with Villalobs Construction continue with bridge rehabilitation work for three (3) separate bridges that cross over I-25. The first bridge will be at NM-1 which is the Luis Lopez Bridge in Socorro. This Bridge will be CLOSED on April 22nd for approximately 2 months. Motorists are encouraged to seek an alternate route. The next bridge will be the San Marcial/exit 125 Bridge (Socorro County) with I-25/exit 79 in T or C (Sierra County) to be completed. The work at each bridge is scheduled to take approximately 2 months. The bridges will be CLOSED in segments as work is being conducted. Detours will be posted as work progresses from one to bridge to another. The contractor has constructed crossovers on I-25 where traffic will be switched over in order for work to be conducted on the bridge overpass. Motorists will be advised of lane and speed restrictions. Please proceed with caution

New Mexico 516, 2.1 miles West of Aztec at mile marker 12
Description: NM 516 - This Project is located in Aztec, NM San Juan County at mile post 12.97 at the intersection of NM 516 and NM 574. San Juan - The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) began construction on the intersection rehabilitation of NM 516 and NM 574 (Light Plant Rd.) September 2013. The intersection improvement project will consist of roadway reconstruction, new curb & gutter with sidewalk, new manhole and storm drain inlet structures, permanent signing, striping, signalization and lighting. Traffic Impacts: The Project will be partially suspended for the winter months. During this time, the intersection and all lanes will be opened to the public with the exception of the utility construction work that will require minor traffic impacts. Project will resume full construction in spring of 2014, weather permitting.

Description: Galisteo–The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will start construction work on NM 41 near the Village of Galisteo between mile post 55.53 and mile post 56.1 on April 21, 2014. This work will include the replacement of two bridges and roadway improvements between the two bridges. The bridge work will be located at the San Cristobal Arroyo Bridge south of the Village of Galisteo and the Galisteo Creek Bridge on the southern edge of the Village of Galisteo. Motorists can expect minor delays. During the daylight hours, the northbound and southbound traffic will travel through one lane with a pilot car operation and temporary signal setup. During the night, there will be a temporary signal set up on the north end and south end of the work zone. NO oversize vehicles or commercial loads are allowed through the work zone, and NO oversize loads allowed between Stanley and South of County Road 42. There is a 10’ width restriction. Motorists traveling south on NM 41 can use U.S. 285 south to Clines Corners to I-40. Motorists traveling north on NM 41 can use I-40 east to Clines Corners to U.S. 285 north. The detours are equivalent to approximately 21 miles. Drivers are urged to proceed through the work zone with caution, observe traffic control signs and obey speed limits.

Interstate 25 from 0.1 miles West of CANONCITO exit at mile marker 294 to 0.3 miles North of GLORIETA/NM 50 exit at mile marker 299
Description: I-25 Santa Fe –Santa Fe – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will start roadway rehabilitation work on I-25 from mile post 294.5 to mile post 299.5 north of Santa Fe between Canoncito and Glorieta. There will be intermittent single lane closures starting on the northbound lanes of I-25 and then moving to the southbound lanes of I-25. Motorists can expect minor delays from 3:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. during the work week. Fisher Sand & Gravel New Mexico, Inc. of Placitas, New Mexico is the contractor for this project The Federal Highway Administration and NMDOT have partnered to fund these improvements. This $4.9 million roadway rehabilitation work is scheduled for completion summer of 2014. Description: Santa Fe - NMDOT continues work on U.S. 84/285 just north of Pojoaque between mile markers 182.4 and 183.2. Duane Garcia is the NMDOT Project Manager. AUI is the contractor working on this project. The scope of the project includes new bridge construction with new on and off ramps, new roadway lighting and pavement reconstruction for 0.72 miles within Santa Fe County. The bridge construction work is anticipated to be completed by summer of 2014. Traffic Impacts: There will be a switch in traffic on Monday, April 7, 2014. The northbound U.S. 84/285 traffic will be detoured to the newly constructed U.S. 84/285 southbound lanes, and will return to the existing northbound U.S. 84/285 lanes at the north end of the project. The southbound traffic will be detoured onto the west frontage road and will utilize the southbound on-ramp to get back onto the southbound U.S. 84/285. The posted speed limit is 35 mph through the work zone. Double fines are in effect through the work zone. NMDOT urges motorists to proceed through the work zone with caution, watch for construction personnel, observe traffic control signing and reduced speed to the posted speed limit. .

Description: There is roadway reconstruction of US 64 for two miles outside the City limits of Bloomfield. Work will be from mile post 60-62. The project will widen US 64 from four to six lanes. Medians will be installed along US 64 for access control. A major storm drain system will be installed. The contractor is Mountain States Constructors, Inc. Project is scheduled to be completed in the winter of 2014. TRAFFIC IMPACTS: Westbound traffic is reduced to one lane beginning from Station 447+00 WBL to Mile Post 60 and merges into the US 64 EBL from mile posts 62 to 60. Both east and westbound traffic on US 64 is reduced to one lane with a continous center turning lane from mile posts 62 to 60. All traffic has access to intersecting streets and turnouts. US 64 WBL are closed from mile posts 62 to 60. Westbound traffic is merged back into the WBL after mile psot 60.

New Mexico 28 eastbound and westbound from NM 28/MESILLA exit at mile marker 30 to NM 28/MESILLA exit at mile marker 29, left lane closed.
Description: The District One office for the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) with La Calerita Construction continues with bridge work at Avenida de Mesilla. The intersection at Lakeside and Aveida de Mesilla will be closed to traffic the week of April 7th as the contractor places concrete at the intersection. East and westbound traffic will be switched to the eastbound lanes. Traffic restrictions will remain. The descending eastbound off ramp is open; however, the westbound descending off ramp is now closed and will remain closed until mid-April of 2014 as work progresses. Motorists will encounter lane restrictions on NM-28/Avenida de Mesilla between Hickory Loop and Lakeside Drive, and on I-10 between Motel Boulevard and University Avenue. Traffic alerts are posted throughout the work zone advising motorists of detours as outlined in the contractors’ schedule. Motorists will be able to gain access to the City of Las Cruces and the Town of Mesilla at Motel Boulevard exit 139, or University Avenue exit 142 for both east and westbound I-10 traffic.
